New Haven

Hello again World! I have been using a shared family blog for the past year, but now think it would be fun to start this one up again :) And what better reason than to document our new New England life here at Yale??? We have been here for a month already! Daniel is in his first week of school, and I stay busy with my two new jobs. One is babysitting for a sweet 18 month old named Orion. Orion's mom Eva needs me to help out while she writes her dissertation. My second, and main job, is working for the Church as the Seminaries and Institutes Support Specialists. I work in our ward building in a big office with my boss, Dwight Durrant. Last weekend we went to a meeting in the Bronx! It has already proven to be a fun and exciting job :)

We live in Whitehall, which is Yale Graduate Housing for married students and kids. Our apartment is nice, with wood floors and lots of closets, even our own basement storage area. We have a second bedroom that is Daniel's study area, and guest room when needed. We also have a few friends in Whitehall too. About 11 LDS families live here! They have been so nice and helpful, and we are enjoying getting to know everyone. Each Sunday we have a pot luck BBQ in the courtyard that is really fun.

My parents came down in mid August, and had a great time. We toured New Haven, went to NYC for my Mom's birthday, and spent a day in Greenwich with Aunt Shauna....we had a great time! Heather and David Cox will be coming in November....and anyone else is welcome to come and visit us up here!!!! We mean it!
